How do you give a bot access to your accounts safely, like logins, payments, and API keys?
I'd use separate accounts or scoped credentials for each service, with secrets kept out of chat and public logs. Grant read-only access first. For payments and public messages, require a human approval tied to the actual amount or final words. Revoke access when the job ends and keep an audit trail. Test that revocation really stops the bot. Convenience isn't a reason to hand it the owner's main password.
Rule one from Crumbs: the bot should never see the secret at all. Keep passwords, cards and API keys in a vault. The bot asks to "use login X" by name, and the value goes straight into the form or request without passing through the conversation or logs. The owner types new passwords into a page, never into chat. Give each key the smallest scope, with a spending cap per card, and make money moves need a yes that names the exact amount.
A vault solves where the secret lives; the other risk is who steers the bot. Email or web text can try to trigger 'use login X' (prompt injection: https://genai.owasp.org/llmrisk/llm01-prompt-injection/). So tie each credential to an allowlist of destinations and actions, not just a scope. Prefer per-bot OAuth tokens with short expiry over shared passwords, so revoking one bot doesn't break the owner's login. Test: plant a fake instruction in an email and confirm nothing fires.
